Just 12 days for the Toronto Boat Show

Wishing everyone the very best for a Healthy, Happy, and Prosperous New Year.

There are only 12 more days to go before the doors open for Canada's largest Boat Show. '

Once again this year I will be at the Tohatsu and Nissan Booth to answer your questions about these fantastic outboard motors. Not only are they great but the prices are the best I can offer because they are Boat Show Priced!

This year there is more too cheer about because we will be showing our NEW Duras inflatable line of boats and they are awesome in their design, quality, added extra features that cost extra on other makes, but most of all it's the Boat Show Pricing.

I will up date and ad links to the blog so you can check in and get the real goods here!

Today it's more like Spring than Winter that's why I'm spending time on the computer

While I was surfing (the web) I came across this neat little guide on the Spring Cottage Lie Show"s website.

This is for the time when your outboard boat motor does not want to start. This handy little flow chart can get you started or at least save you time and cash when you bring it to the marina. There is something that the "handy marina guy" can work with. Telling or indicating what you did on a work order can save time. At least he won't have to do all the same steps that you just covered. On the other hand "it wont start" on the work order means he/she will have to do the diagnostics $$$.

Print it off and post it on the fridge with all the other important notes. Actually, post it on the both fridges, the one at the cottage and the other at home.

Yes it feels more like spring but winter is really just around the corner

The marina is now and has been in winter mode for more than three weeks now. Yet, there is still little evidence that Rice Lake will be frozen over before Christmas because there are still open areas in McGregor Bay and the big part of Rice Lake is still wide open.

It is hard to get into the spirit of the season. Even with the lights and decorations and of course the Christmas Tree in all it's splendor, it's just not, well you know what I mean . No snow yet just green grass! With about a month to go Jan. 12 2012 before the "Toronto International Boat Show" opens it feels more like boating weather, than the season for skiing.

If you are looking for that family gift for the boat or cottage then conciser an IOU/Gift Card under the tree for that special purchase from the boat show. It looks like there are extra savings in store again this year at the Tohatsu and Nissan Booth. This year we will have a second location in the back section to introduce our NEW INFLATABLE Boat The "DURAS". I will be posting on the boat in a couple of weeks. Great product at a fantastic price.

If you have any questions please give us a call or email because we are still around to answer your questions.

The chill is in the air, nights are cooler and the days are shorter. The light is not as bright and the plants are starting to come to the end of their vibrancy. Yes, it's tie to think of putting away some of the summer toys. It's time to start thinking about boat winterizing and storage.
Remember if the boat and motor  are put to bed for the winter properly the more likely they that they will be ready to go in the spring.
Book early.

A perfect weekend to rent a boat

The weather is hot all over but not as bad as in the city, I know I was there on Thursday. Toronto was brutal hear was radiating from everywhere and everything. No breeze, even by the harbor the air was hot and moist. What a difference from Rice Lake, even when I returned the temperature was 35C but it felt cooler, the greenery and the breeze from the lake was a welcome change from the city.

Weekend or mid-week anytime is the best time to get out on Rice Lake and enjoy nature or take in a little fishing. Our boats are ready to go.
